The defense the first time was he's doing the smart businessman move to make as much money as possible. How is making them bid for the bigger fights with HBO actually participating in a bid a bad thing?

Not only can he get a big payday for one fight, but get return dates if he loses.

    How is this bad?

This is basically the first time around but way better
Is he preventing HBO from bidding for him again? I don't get it.. Am sure ANY business commodity would want two companies bidding for their services, so who says he isn't interested in what HBO has to say? If he is a free agent then HBO need to get to work.

Well I guess he doesn't want to put himself up for "Bidding" because Kovalev is with HBO.... Am pretty sure that all they are trying to say without typing it out.

I don't follow Adonis or Kovalev so I don't know much about their contracts, but if Adonis is a free agent like the OP claimed then HBO should jumped in and offer him a good deal for the Kovalev fight.

Am personally just tired of hearing how "this guy doesn't want to fight that guy" BS that I read on here all the time, it's lame and boring.

Duhhh dumb dumb, that's why they should bid.You think if HBO offers something Showtime won't? Especially with all their talk of investing in LHW now?

OP arqued they did it the first time, why not a second time in a much better position?

Read the thread dumbo, I know education probably isn't the best from where you are from, but read what the OP SAID... He said Adonis "should put himself up for bidding again".... He never said HBO "Should bid" for Adonis again since he is a free agent. That's two different things.

                Ahem...

Konz dont like the bidding (and therefore upping the max money possible). But thats another topic :-)

Power to Adonis if he can make two networks bid for him multiple times. objectively this is the perfect move. I havent read everything about this, but if he can still fight fight on both networks. and the main reason for fighting on a certain network vs a certain fighter is the money bid, thats fair and 10/10.

If you are against this than you have to be against fighters fighting for their worth. I didnt know boxing fans were against fighters getting paid

Ones again i dont know the ins and outs...is there someone that can provide some info? a link/source would be appreciated.

This is all because I used the word should?

Well the impression is sure given that way with all the Hopkins talk and the absence of the other mysterious nobody from HBO
