Stevenson is THE GUY at Light Heavy and probably a top 15 p4p fighter. He scheduled a tune up fight with an unknown who he was supposed to walk through. he got dropped by him and found himself in deep ****.
Yep. When you're Champion in a division and #1 and #2 (Hopkins & Kovalev) look like they could mow through you people aren't going to throw a parade when you carry a fringe opponent 12 rounds.

Naturally and with good reason. The 15 to 1 underdog doing what was unexpected deserves more praise than the the the 15 to 1 favorite who was supposed to blow out the underdog. Why should Stevenson get a tremendous amount of praise for a cherry pick gone wrong?

I still like what I saw from Stevenson, but the topic of the day should obviously be Fonfara. It's something new and fresh to talk about.

Kovalev would knock him out in my opinion. Stevenson punches with speed, power accuracy and timing. He did some very good body punching. He has a pretty good defense. He gassed out and showed a very average chin. He showed good will power to come back strong after his was tired, hurt and knocked down. He is a decent champion but nothing special.

            Dwyer wasn't impressed with Stevenson.

Adonis didn't look that good, more than anything he looked out of shape kind of soft really....maybe him scoring all of these kos went to his head and he thinks he doesn't have to train anymore.

I saw a body attack from the quack king that I've never seen before, other than that I saw more negatives than positives.

Only 3 jabs from Kovalev would make Stevenson piss blood.

Good fight from an unknown cherry btw!!!

I like how he went to the body. I think that played a substantial part on the outcome of the fight.

Fonfara got through with big shots in round 2 which made Stevenson's legs buckle. His chin is very suspect and won't hold up to Kovalev shots. He has to KO Kovalev first.
