If Cotto beats Martinez then Floyd is fighting him next.

It's all about sales and Floyd will fight Cotto because he brings a lot to the table. All Cotto needs to do is win against Martinez and he will have his rematch against Floyd at 154lbs.

No one wants to see the Maidana fight as proved by the ppv sales. Besides who rewards someone who broke every boxing rule in the world and has a trainer who encourages such rubbish?

Cotto isn't beating Martinez. Floyd can fight Lara after he beats Canelo.

Martinez and Lara win. Floyd faces neither, opting for Khan, Maidana, or Garcia. Sad fights

I think this is what Mayweather would prefer to do, but do you think Showtime will agree to pay for these fights? I mean...somewhere in the contract between Mayweather and Showtime (assuming Showtime is sane) is an opt-out clause that says Showtime doesn't neccessarily have to pay for a Floyd Fight if they feel it's not in their best interest. Thus, I am assuming that Showtime actually has a contract for "First-Bid" rights - not actually a contract to pay Floyd for just any damned bum he wants to fight. Otherwise...I figure Floyd would already be on the phone with Baldomir, Ortiz and Guererro scheduling a sweet and risk-free set of paydays worth....$96 Million.

it was hardly promoted. maidana was seen as an overmatched opponent and many casual fans who only tune in for PPV fights didn't know who he was. the fight actually turned out to be a barn burner and it generated a lot of interest after the fact. use common sense.

all those things considered, 800-900k sales is nothing to scoff at.

Mayweather should fight the winner of Martinez-Cotto.

lmao, such a bitter twat floyd stan

floyd better stay away from chino, after all, he does not want to lose twice in a row

floyd has to rob chino to win, if cotto is smart, he should tell floyd to f off, no way is cotto getting the decision

                edit

love the high standards, you don't want floyd to avenge his loss because of a trainer asking his guy to fight dirt yet you don't mind a child beating, woman beating, ped taking, racist and someone who fights very dirty with his elbows and hugging.

you ****** people are funny, get a job
