The problem is Khan had totally the wrong gameplan and mentality for that fight so he would have lost either way, he pretty much trained himself for a lot of the fight camp because Roach was away training Pac in Ph. And the racist taunts from the Garcia's in the press confs basically worked and made Khan want to get into a fight.

I don't think Khan would have suddenly realized that he needs to box and not brawl, he was too locked into giving Garcia a beating that he didn't even want to try to box. So because of that I think it's a good thing the fight was stopped because Khan was making way too many mistakes from the opening bell. He was using the same predictable combo repeatedly from round one and was hardly mixing it up at all.

You go down, and get up....and you let the fight go. Khan showed the ref everything that he needed to show him, and even if he didn't, he got up and wasn't wobbling around like he was truly dazed. Khan was hurt, but should've been allowed to continue.

The ref gave him every opportunity. The counts was ridiculously slow, Khan couldn't even give him his gloves, Bayliss had to take them lol

The last knockdown was a grazing punch which effected his equilibrium. He got up on unsteady legs & fell backwards - that was another chance. Bayliss then asked him if he was okay, he just looked back all groggy so he waved it off.

I can't even say good stoppage, it was late if anything & I hate when referees are clearly bias. If that was Garcia who suffered that first knockdown, the fight would of been waved off immediately!

Can't criticize Bayless for stopping it, but Bradley was in a much worse situation against Provodnikov and that fight continued and Bradley somehow got the decision.

The last knockdown was the least serious of them all. Khan got up and clearly moved back to the corner, answered Baylis when he asked a question. Odd time to choose to stop it since Khan was actually landing punches again.

Khan clearly blanks out while answering Bayless, which lead to Bayless feeling like he had enough..

I agree with the stoppage..I also believe Bayless gave him every chance to get back in the fight..It just was not gonna happen..

that right there is how someone who doesnt understand boxing would reason. you think its all about how hurt the fighter is but thats not the case at all, it plays a part obviously but its not everything.

a fight is stopped when a fighter isnt able to intelligently defend himself, some fighters can be badly hurt and still manage to do just that while others dont know what to do as soon as they get in trouble.

khan was hurt badly after the first KD, so what? give him a chance to see if he can intelligently defend himself.

but what happened? he was all over the place and got rocked again right at the bell, but since he had a minute to recover bayless decided to give him a third chance. what happened that time? he fought like an amateur, got rocked several times and dropped twice all within a round.

so by now he got several chances but clearly wasnt capable of intelligently defending himself leaving the ref with no choice but to stop the fight. the fact that he was less hurt then after the first KD is completely irrelevant. he couldnt intelligently defend himself = fight over

Exactly, the eye's don't lie..Khan could have been seriously hurt in there if Bayless let it continue..Khan was finished, weather he knew it or not..
