I always like your lists, you do know your boxing. Another excellent post m8.

Again it's obviously hard to agree with every placement on a pound for pound list especially one with 20 boxers and while I do feel hopkins should be higher, it is an excellent list.

Cool, although I dont agree with the list. I keep looking at it and trying to figure out the critiera used to coming up with the whole thing but it just looks like a favorites list. I see the likes of Froch, absense of Ward, and Timmy in the upper echelon and I start to think its actually a list based off resumes. A Pound for Pound list is supposed to consist of the top fighters skill wise(not resumes or popularity) that would be dominate at any weight class given their skill level.

WOW that's a great list. As accurate as any I've seen, glad to see my boy Uchiyama getting his dues.

Beat the number one LHW on the planet in a brutal first round KO, beaten a former champ and a legitimate number one contender.

            The criteria is :

            Resume
Skill, in comparison to other fighters, irregardless of weight

I try to keep this as recent as possible, usually looking over a period of 2-3 years, although historic achievements for great fighters must still be kept in consideration. Obviously by historic I don't mean 10 years ago.

Ward is absent cos he hasn't been active.

timmy is up there cos in recent fights he has won one and lost one against two great fighters. And went to war and came out a winner against one of the hardest hitting guys on the planet. Stretching back a bit further, his accomplishments at 140 were great too, add to that his skill set, chin, heart and determination and he is one of the very best on the planet.

Dawson was coming off a loss to Ward in a fight where he was drained, Cloud was coming off a loss to Hopkins, and really, what was Bellew's best win?

if only he had a better resume, the guy would be so much higher, he has the makings of an exceptional fighter.

yes, at 168, Dawson has just beaten Hopkins for THE LINEAL TITLE at LHW, that counts for something. Cloud di lose to Hopkins but that's his only loss and he is a former titlist, Bellew has a decent run of fights and was a legitimate contender. Believe it or not, not all contenders have great resumes, that's why they're called contenders.

On top of that, with his power, speed and good skill set, I can't see many guys at 175 beating him, possibly Kovalev or Ward if he moves up. Who else? No one.

Looking through boxing at a glance, not taking into account weight (the whole idea of of p4p) there aren't too many guys I'd favour to beat Stevenson, the form he's been for the last 18 months or so.

Let's not act like 175 is an ocean of talent. Other than Kovalev, Stevenson, and Hopkins, there aren't that many great fighters.

IMO any top 10 list with 4 WWs (or 4 of any one weightclass) is shit.
