The World Boxing Association has issued a suspension period of two years on former WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo" Felino" Jones after he tested positive for a banned substance in his "B" sample. The sample was opened on Tuesday, May 20, at the Laboratory of Switzerland.

How does the WBA plan to punish Jones? Are they going to inform him that he is mandated to fight for or defend the WBA Cruiser title only once ever other year and he is to fight no other fights in the interim? Wait a minute? Never mind.

A 2 year suspension is no punishment at all for a Don King fighter. Jones wouldn't have got another gig for at least 2 years anyway.

LOL @ WBA punishes...umm so basically he can't fight for one of the alphabet titles for two years...wow some punishment...and the fighter who was KOed could have been killed...but who cares?

We need a unified governing body...with one belt per division and VADA-type drug testing as the standard testing around the world...too many American fighters are never getting caught cheating until they are tested by VADA or WADA..See this cheater Guillermo Jones, Lamont Peterson, and Berto
