Adam Booth, who previously trained George Groves for several years, has warned his former fighter to avoid going to war in the early going with IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch. Booth, who was recently replaced by Paddy Fitzpatrick, feels Groves has a much higher chance at victory if he sticks to boxing and avoids brawling.
Groves brawled with Froch for most of their fight last November. He had success, with scoring a big knockdown in the first round and then pummeling Froch in some of the others. But then he started running out of steam in the second half, which allowed Froch to rally and score a controversial stoppage in the ninth.
