Nice way to try to take the facts out of context...8% had Maidana winning...but 10% had it a draw...so you don't think a draw merits a rematch either? lol...only the 8% that had Maidana winning? haha...You must have a romantic bias towards Floyd or something lol... to actually cover up facts to defend Floyd lol...

18% of people in the media...who btw are biased towards Floyd because an overwhelming majority are American-based (Ben Thompson from FloydHype.com scorecard actually counts lol..and so do many in Las Vegas media etc.) didn't believe Mayweather won the fight...add the fact that Maidana could not wear his punchers gloves (think Pacquiao-Morales I..and then the rematches)...And to think that Maidana still did more damage to Floyd overall and over more rounds than vice versa...

Yeah...who wants to see the rematch lol...Floyd fans never see a reason for rematches for Floyd when he gains a robbery or has a tough fight... lol...but I'm sure you wouldn't mind seeing Floyd-Marquez II?

      • Yeah there will be a rematch in September. A Maidana fight will be the most appealing fight at that time from a business standpoint. Mayweather is not going to fight Pac, he already beat Marquez, Bradley is not a good enough seller, Khan can't because of Ramadan, and Porter and Thurman are in talks for fighting each other. That only leaves Maidana. And given that Chino gave Floyd a good fight and some think he won, just like with Castillo Floyd will give him another fight. And as for people saying Floyd being scared yeah right. He went toe to toe with a tough, young, powerful champion who outweighed him by him by almost twenty pounds. With those advantages against him he still came out on top, even though he took some punishment but hey that's boxing. Like I said before no fighter has looked their best in every fight. And this is only the third time in his whole career that a fighter gave Floyd problems. That's still impressive given Floyd's age.

Even when he had Mayweather cornered, a lot of those times Mayweather still bested him. I don't think anyone is fearful at all, if anything maybe Mayweather doesn't want to go through another round 4 (Mayweather still clearly won this round) and 5 as he was heavily bothered by the cut. If he is having second thoughts it'd likely be due to that, not being able to see against an awkward puncher is a dangerous situation to be in, Mayweather still handled it like a champ.
It adds credibility to the fact there is a grave inequity that lives in boxing. The face of a boxing brand can often receive unfair consideration over someone that is not. Its a subtle psychological thing that is constantly in play whenever Mayweather fights. Showtime called the fight well... until the championship rounds. To showtime, close =good. Maidana derailing the whole damn thing= bad. Maidana was doing work throughout the fight, yet the trend I notice as the fight winded down is one of well he was a firestorm early but he has gassed... wrong. Also they began to show more and more work of Floyd's in the replays. Also.. 15 punches landed is wrong for Maidana in the 12th.. and I KNOW 20 punches landed in the 12th is wrong for Floyd.

This is the thing about the 12th. Maidana almost got a kd. It was a maidana left hook in the center of the ring while the two men were exchanging punches. Floyd's equilibrium was off for a few seconds and he's lucky he didnt get hit with the follow up shot, his reflexes got him out of the way just in time. Maidana also did work on the ropes to get that round. 2 flashy lead rights at the end of the round doesnt steal it.

          so 1, 5,

now lets talk about the 8th. Maidana landed at least 2 overhand rights in the center of the ring in that round.. and did some on the rope work. He got the 8th.

          So 1, 5, 8, 12... MAIDANA

          that leaves 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 , and 11

Mays lock rounds for me were 2, 7, and 9th...we'll throw in the 10th even though I think that one is close.

thats 4 rounds a piece. Fairly indisputable. The QUESTION is who do you give the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 11th to?

2... or even 3 of those could reasonably go to Maidana. But keep telling yourselves it wasnt a close fight.

          • Maidana won the first 5 rounds but those that score would have a very hard time going 5 rounds without giving Floyd a few rounds. So that gave Floyd the advantage to get a few rounds early where he didn't really deserve.

Floyd won and you know it. Nobody wants to see another foul fest by Maidana. He did everything he could to try to win, he threw more punches than Floyd....AND he landed less punches on Floyd and clearly lost.

it wasn't a close fight. Are you even talking about Floyd Maidana lol. Floyd's equilibrium was off??? You can't score a fight. And you can't change how the fight went with your fantasy outlook. The film don't lie.

Yes it was. And yes he was. Watch for yourself. I already gave you the cliff notes , so watch it in slow motion and TRY to see whats actually going on versus what youre being told by the broadcast, or what you want to believe. Left... hook...

Maybe if you took your Floyd glasses off.
