Only a couple of days ago, I read an interview here with Sergio where he basically said his whole body hurts every minute of every day. Yet, here he is saying he "feels healthy." lol

still worried about cotto's punch resistance.

he's been getting rocked and hurt since his days at 140. i dont know how he will take a punch from a middleweight despite how old and washed up martinez maybe.

i really dont know who to favor in this fight.
Cotto is fairly young, even for a fighter. Miguel is 33. Sergio turns 40 in February.

Cotto's punch resistance wouldn't worry me too much. Martinez isn't known for being a devastating puncher, his brutal KO of P. Will notwithstanding. What will determine the fight is Sergio's health and mobility. If he can move without trouble, there's little doubt Martinez will win this fight, possibly by stoppage. If Sergio wears cement shoes, Miguel will find him and potentially wear him down.

There are so many unknown variables in this fight, that is the reason it's so interesting to me. Which Sergio will show up? The one who fought Chavez Jr. or the one to fought Murray? Can Cotto avoid the counter attack and cut the ring to put Sergio in the ropes? Who is going to break down who? It is very clear to me Martinez has the advantage but it's hard to tell what will happen because he looked awful vs Murray. Cotto has also been unpredictable lately. Can't wait!!!!!

We should all have seen the signs, the signs were all there, some pointed it out but we just ignored it lol. And then the bell rang and it was blatantly obvious that this man had no leg. Credit to him doe because he was class through by refusing to make any excuses even when it was blatantly obvious to everyone including stevie wonder.

Last fall, the best orthopedists in the U.S. advised him to quit boxing for good...
... Maybe Martinez is still looking for a goodbye fight in Argentina.
