  • Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Terence Crawford: WBO Lightweight Championship

I got to go with Gamboa, but no doubt Crawford is immensely talented.

It is on 28th June, 2014 for the WBO Lightweight Championship.

Edit for mods: Given the date, it is the original Gamboa vs Crawford thread considering there is a duplicate one out there as well.

I wish I could confidently pick Gamboa, but who knows how he'll fight?

If he's at his best, I think he wins.

I got Crawford by decision, and it won't be close. He will frustrate and beat Gamboa.

The great thing is two unbeatens going at in on the undercard:

Top Rank has announced that undefeated Russian middleweight Matt Korobov will appear on the HBO boxing telecast of the Terrence Crawford-Yuriorkas Gamboa WBO lightweight title clash on June 28 in Omaha, Nebraska. Korobov (23-0, 14 KOs) will battle Venezuela***8217;s Jose Uzcategui (22-0, 18 KOs) in a 10-round bout. This will be the first HBO appearance for the former world amateur champion and 2008 Olympian Korobov

Yeah I agree, but Crawford is such a damn beast I almost feel guilty picking against him. Then again I have to go with my boy Warboa.

This may be a boring fight. But I am crossing my fingers it is not. If Crawford brings the action it may not be. But if we wait for Gamboa we grow old that night.

I think Terence will shine against Gamboa - Yuri has not looked well in a long time.
