It's not so much that gamboa has a bad chin, or is chinny,, he just doesn't protect himself properly and that causes like 99% of all his career knockdowns! he just gets to reckless and sloppy.. I think Crawford will make him pay as others have failed to do so, plus Crawford is a giant compared to gamboa..
The combination of size and skill will be too much for gamboa, especially considering he hasn't been active nor in big fights in years,, if it was 2011 gamboa I might think differently but inactive gamboa over the past 2-3 years I just to not trust. Plus he seems to be off the juice

Edit for mods: Given the date, it is the original Gamboa vs Crawford thread considering there is a duplicate one out there as well.
Where the heck did your thread come from? lol my bad for making a similar thread, yours must have gotten pushed way back cause I didn't see it on the first or second page.

That's gonna make a difference he's naturally bigger than him also. Plus he has alot of speed and boxing ability and will keep gamboa at the end of his shots at all time. Gamboa really going to struggle to get inside and when he will crawford will hold him get back on the outside.

The difference is going to be way to much imo. If this was a prime boa then i would give him more of a chance but the boa we've seen the last 2 times i just don't think can pull it off

The question is can Crawford tag and drop Yuri which seems to be your sole basis on him winning.

How do you feel Terrence will handle fighting in front of his hometown? I know Gamboa is no stranger to traveling.

I don't think the crowd will effect Crawford, he seems like a cool customer.. And yes Crawford should be able to tag gamboa.. Nearly everyone has been able to, and some have dropped him.. Crawford is the best fighter gamboa has ever faced and is much much bigger..

Crawford isn't flashy but he is in the same vein as ward or Hopkins,, they just get the job done

The real question you need to be asking is can Crawford "hurt" Gamboa, cause Gamboa's been on the canvas about 7 times in his career but he recovers like Wolverine and always ends up winning the fight.

To be fair Crawford hasn't faced an opponent like Gamboa and might get cracked himself. We'll see how he handles recovery, especially if he's made from the same skin as Ward or Hopkins.
