What type of Gamboa you think will show up gmc?
He traditionally looks a totally different fighter when he's in a tough fight (Lopez (edit: meant Solis), Salido, Mtagwa), but his recent inactivity/performances dont fill me with confidence.
If Gamboa comes with his full arsenal i think he will be too much for Crawford.Last edited by Tom Cruise; 06-28-2014, 07:57 AM.Comment

Due to promotional problems and some bad judgemet on his part, we haven't seen the real Gamboa in 3 years, since he massacred Solis. I believe a peak Gamboa would blitz Crawford, he's just a much better fighter.
I don't expect to see that peak Gamboa though, I'm expecting a Gamboa who's a little faded, but I still think that could be enough to win as he does usually fight to the level of his competition.Comment

I'll be rooting for another guy that resembles a mini-Tyson tonight. If he brings any of his old persona, it's going to be an exciting bout. If he comes as the guy we saw versus Perez, he's likely to lose in a potentially dull affair.
I don't know what to expect, but the closer the fight draws, the better I feel about Yuri's chances. It seems to me some others feel the same way. I've seen a few guys who were early Crawford believers coming over to the Gamboa camp. I think the weigh-in had something to do with it. Terrance looked drained, while Yuri looked full and healthy. We'll see if it means anything in a few hours.Comment

Not sure bud, the inactivity is my real worry.

Everything you say is true. The inactivity will show. I'm just hoping that Yuri doesn't leave himself open for a big counter.Comment

Man, to hell with this.
I'm riding with Gamboa all the way.
He's going to take this flavor of the month Crawford to Cuban boxing school.Comment

I have to go with Crawford in this match..Yet Gamboa is a very live dog and it would not surprise me the least bit to see Gamboa get this win and put his name back to the top of the sport..I also see this fight being very exciting..
I see Crawford trying to make a statement against a high profile opponent, and Gamboa is an offensive beast..Esp if he has someone willing to engage(which I have no doubt Crawford will be willing to do)..I'm pump for this one,has a lot of potential..
I picked Crawford too but I would be lying if I said I'm not concerned after how he looked yesterday at the weigh in and his talks of moving up after this fight.Comment

Hell yeah, happy birthday to me.
I probably shouldn't root for Yuroidkis, but I was a huge fan before the Rios debacle. I'd love to see him win this.Comment

This fight will have sways from lull to rapid exchanges, guessing Crawford uses his reach advantage he should be able to catch Gamboa coming in/going out it's just what happens when the distance is closed and Crawford takes a shot or two how he reacts.Comment
