...When it was HBO and Arum who said they didn't want to work with them initially, not the other way around?
Why is everyone so harsh to Schaeffer and Haymon...

I've seen every involved faction say they didn't want to work with the other. Back when the Super Six (SMW) was announced Showtime said they were basically declaring war on HBO and willing to lose millions just to steal their fights. Schaeffer just recently said he's not interested in working with Bob Arum under any circumstances. Etc.Comment

People hate what they don't understand, and since Haymon doesn't give the mutts in boxing a bones to chew on by granting interviews, their forced to make up slanderous accusations.
What Haymon does is no different in any other forms of entertainment, and people hating on him really are hating on the fighters he represents for having the courage to have someone look out for their best interests. Many actors in Hollywood are turning to managers instead of Agents, because of the personal investment a manger makes in his individual client, not the company who the clients are being contracted to work for.
Look a Rigo for an example, and tell me do you think a Haymon or a Shelly Finkel would ever allow a talent such as his to be demonized and shelved by some contract promoter for being too good and beating someone who they would consider a draw?
Also think about Lara when he fights Canelo on July 12th, and ask yourself did Haymon take his time and advise him in a matter in which he's in best possible position to fulfill his dreams based on his talent, and not popularity?Last edited by The Raw Dog; 05-22-2014, 05:27 PM.Comment

Because they are the new "it" duo to pick on. The problem with the sport has been and always will be Arum.Comment
