Remember Chris Eubank? After he seriously injured Michael Watson he wasn't the same fighter because he stopped using full power in his punches in case he might seriously injure an opponent again. The guy in this video already has that mentality early on so it could impact his entire career now and he might never fulfil his true potential. He needs to break out of that mentality and become more ruthless as a fighter if he wants to succeed in the fight game.
I understand what you're saying. But I will reserve judgment until he does that in a professional Prize fight. Can't really say what a person will and wont do for we all think different and responds to situations in all different ways. He said he didn't see the point in fighting him any more cause they wasn't getting paid. And they're both amateurs and would feel terrible. That's how he see's it. That's is his perspective in the situation. So in his mind, he was actually preventing a situation like a Chris Eubank. A situation that would probably stop HIM from using his full power. But who knows, everyone is different.

That wasn't sparring and that wasn't a prize fight. That was just one guy taking unnecessary punishment merely to entertain the crowd. And For a fighter to realize that right in the middle of the fight and do what he did. Well that is what true martial arts is all about.
