I've got into my UFC of late. The show is set up and put on far more professionally than any boxing shows that I've been to, with TV screens showing slick videos in the arena hyping the coming fight etc.

The major problem I have with UFC is the use of PED's.
Literally everyone is on them, it has become the norm. Training in multiple discipline's has literally led to guys feeling they are forced to use them, as they are unable to recover from the sessions in time....

Some fights in MMA are very good. . . The Pettis and Dos Anjos one most recently was exciting. . . But sometimes boxing doesn't live up to the hype, and sometimes MMA doesn't live upto the hype.

I don't have the same passion for MMA though when watching it.

and I really hate the commentary for it

"BIGGGG RIGHT HAND, IT IS OVER, JUST-LIKE-THAAAT!!

No matter who is fighting, everyone is always the best in their division at something, be it leg strikes, armbars. . . chinese burns!

Boxing-all day... I don't like when a guy is on top of another guy in MMA. I don't know,..in combat, I just don't think it's that realistic. I love submissions...that's cool. But guys on top of each other, just really irritates me.

I rather watch kickboxing or Muay Thai than MMA.

Boxing fan all my life but one thing I REALLY like about the ufc is that there is only one champion in each weight division (and not junior weight levels in between either). When there's a ufc title fight its a big deal. It's like boxing 50 years ago. The massive amount of world champions in boxing is unfortunate and it dilutes the occasion.

With so few belts in the ufc you get the best against the best well before they even sniff at a chance to fight for the belt.

But having said that boxing remains #1 for me.

I would appreciate MMA more I think if the fans weren't such ******s.
The majority of MMA fans I've encountered are similar to WWE fans. Very maniac and almost white trash at times, borderline racist, lol.

Those are the typical ones who seem to think it's the superior sport and there's no room for both. While on the other hand, some of my latino friends who are into both I can talk respectfully about both sports equally and we get a long about it.

Generally I'll never go out of my way to watch a UFC event, but if I catch it at someone's house or at a bar, I would watch it. I only prefer standup of course but once they hit the deck, my eyes shift off the screen usually.

With that said, I haven't caught a UFC match in years. I'll occasionally youtube a fight that was talked about for some popular reason(dude snapping his leg from a kick; match over in 15 seconds). But I haven't had much appeal to the sport as of late.

                Mercer vs silva was funny.

Toney vs courture was uncalled for.
toneys best days were at 168.

Thats like making floyd fight anderson silva at 45 yrs old all blown up in weight.

There are a lot of mma fan boys on this forum trolling boxing fans and wishing their sport was a great as boxing is.
