MMA was great when Pride (see my av) and UFC were both putting on solid events. That was its peak. Now it's mostly garbage cards with dime-a-dozen generic fighters with generic "talent." Boxing and kickboxing piss all over MMA now.

Yeah the energy of the Fedor era, crazy Japanese events and all the K1 guys crossing over is gone.

Just unmemorable "rounded, solid, workrate" sorta fighters laying on each other in surf trunks now while they sell you UFC mugs and bedsheets.

I think people don't realize in order for something to get that mainstream and appeal to the average dumb**** TV viewer it has to be watered down a ton and the fighters have to take a backseat to the brand. That's what PBC is aiming for.

The are U F'ing Cheating is just awful, I can't watch it. They have so little talent fighting. Most of those guys would get KTFO'd at my local bar and that is not an exaggeration either.
