If Kovalev was half as good as people think he is then Al Haymon would have
signed him long ago. And he would not be with Kathy Duva and Main Events.
Stevenson has arguably beaten better opponents than Kovalev has, and he has arguably displayed more skill and better movement in the process. To call Stevenson a coward is pure ignorance. Cowards do not usually go back into battle against a man who had previously knocked them out. Cowards do not decide to fight for a living in the first place. Cowards just sit at their computer
and call a spade a spade.

Stevenson could've stayed at HBO, fought Kovalev instead of Fonfara, then gone to Showtime.

Stevenson's best wins: one punch KO in the 1st round against shot Dawson, Bellew & Cloud (who?)

Kovalev's best wins: shot Campillo, Cleverly (who's better than Bellew - Cleverly beat Bellew) & Sillakh.

Point is, their resumes really aren't that different.

Showtime offered more money for the Fonfara fight. Ultimately, Steveson will make more money fighting Kovalev on HBO than Hopkins on Showtime.

That's doubtful. And it's speculation.
It stands to reason that Showtime value Adonis more than HBO. and they have already shown that they are willing to dig deeper into their pockets for him.
HBO might have a bigger budget, but most of it is earmarked for Manny Pacquiao & Bob Arum. They aren't just throwing money around like they used to, or at least not at Stevenson. Showtime covets the Stevenson-Hopkins match more than HBO covets Stevenson-Kovalev. I think he WILL make more money fighting Hopkins, if gets past Fonfara, which he probably will.

Before he went to showtime he was offered Kovalev but took Fonfara instead for less money. But i thought Stevenson goes where the money is, so why didnt he take the Kovalev fight instead of Fonara, does he hate money?

It would be awesome to see Stevenson's hype come to an end but I kind of want Kovalev to be the one to do it. I guess best case scenario is Stevenson gets beat up and barely wins this one, then gets destroyed by Krusher.

How's that doubtful? Kovalev is a bigger draw than Hopkins. The fight was supposed to be on PPV too I believe.

Stevenson's only obligation, like most fighters, is to his health and his wallet.
At 37 years old he is justifiably choosing the most lucrative options available.
It's only hard to understand if you're an idiot.
And as far as their resumes go, Stevenson's Knockout of Dawson trumps anything that Kovalev has done, simply because it made Stevenson the true Lineal Light Heavyweight Champion of the world. Cleverly may have beaten Bellew, but both are at a similar level in my estimation. Campillo lost to Shumenov AND Cloud before Kovalev knocked-out the left-overs. And Silakh was a one-time prospect who was knocked out by Denis Grachev the year before Kovalev beat him. dont know how on earth anyone can defend stevenson. that was one of the most obvious cowardly ducks ever. this is the fight the fans wanted to see and he let everyone down

Cloud is a nobody. His best win was an SD over a shot Campillo. LOL @ calling him "rugged". Cleverly is better than Bellew, but not by much. I clearly said "shot Campillo" when listing Kovalev's best wins you fool. Sillakh was not shot. He'd been KO'd before Kovalev nearly killed him, but he still had a lot left in him. Oh and Campillo beat Shumenov, but lost a BS decision.

He's a coward. That's an indisputable fact. He could've fought Kovalev instead of Fonfara for more money but instead chose to run to Showtime, so stop with this 'it's about money' bull****, because he's getting LESS to fight Fonfara than he would've for fighting Kovalev.
