That would definitely be great. It'd make boxing more exciting. The focus shifts back to fighters fighting against the best to be the best instead of fighting for PPV ratings. We would be able to force boxers to fight each other(because of rank or having a mandatory challenger), which is what we need in boxing right now.
Why is there more mma segments on network tv and non for boxing?

He's the best wrestler in his division and would be odds on favorite against most of the UFC guys. Talk about lack of fairness bro.
The UFC is so desperate for talent that they re-signed Arlovski whose career should be over by now, but yeah lets just forget about an Olympic wrestler and undefeated MMA contender. No problem there. It's like refusing to sign Lara or Rigo, both boring and both making a lot more money in their sport then a guy like Askren.
Wasn't jake shields suppose to dominant, and then got his arse kicked hard and he is gone... Askren would be the same way.. Come into UFC go 1-3 in boring fights and be doneComment

I disagree,, what c level guys are getting title shots..
Gsp off a year layoff fights Diaz, condit, Hendricks
Lesner off year layoff fights carwin, Cain, overrem
Jon jones has fought nothing but top guys since becoming champ
Silva fought everyone at 185
155 nobody can keep the belt since they are forced to fight top guys every time..
The newer division are still alittle weak in terms of depth but it's the same as when cruiser and super middle became divisions in boxing. It took over 20 years to make 168 a legit division and cruiser still has never became a legit divisionComment

All those big fights the UFC missed on, who cares?Comment

Who are the guys that silva should have defended against?
I will list the boxing fights in each division
Wlad vs fury, pulev, stiverne
Adonis vs kovolev
Ward vs anyone
Serg vs ggg, quillen, sturm
Floyd-manny, Bradley
Etc
Etc
Now name these big fights in each division that UFC didn't make... Please name themComment

As for lost fights....
Which fights could beat UFC 100 which is their best ever selling PPV. I can name at least 4 (I shouldn't have to name them since it's obvious) so under the ZUFFA umbrella they missed out on the 4 biggest fights in MMA history and before they established their grip on the sport they refused to co-promote with Pride, much like the cold war/Haymon etc, so that's another 5 major fights in those preceding years.
and lol at Ward vs anyone, did you just start watching boxing last year?Comment

The point is the division ****** and they sold a bunch of lame PPVs. Don't go crying about the opposition for Pac and Floyd when it was superior to MMA's P4P best.

Wrong.. Ufc didn't refuse to co promote... UFC sent guys over to pride.. Liddell-rampage 1 happened in pride.. Pride wouldn't send any of their guys to UFC so that ended the relationship...it wasn't UFC fault..
Mma, UFC in particular, does a great job of making contenders fight each other, and making champs defend vs true contenders...
Yeah sometimes the division is weak and you get some mediocre challengers, but those things are cyclical and happen in all sports, divisions get good and badComment

What 4 big fights did they not make... I'm sure our only talking about super fights like gsp vs silva etc but all of those are very unrealistic.. 170 to 185 is the same as Floyd coming up to middleweight. It's a huge step...

Fedor v Brock
Silva v Jones (Silva already had 3 fights at 205)
GSP v Silva (GSP cuts a lot of weight and Silva used to fight at 167 back in the day, catch weight would have worked easy).
Those superfights were viable, the owner of the UFC was pushing for them in 2013 (remember it was the year of the superfights! lol). They just didn't want to pay for them because it would have upset their system where fighters earn jack ****. Most of the guys you listed have moved up in weight in boxing.
I'm not going to get in all the Pride v UFC stuff, but I was a fan back then and bottom line they both failed to make some huge fights. Including probably the most important of all time W.Silva v Liddell (when it mattered) and many others. Pride wanted to send people but the UFC couldn't afford them or they wanted their top draws in exclusive contracts (like taking W.Silva), when the UFC started making money in 2005 they outright refused to even consider it and only ****ed around with fans hopes.
They also didn't co-promote with Strikeforce or anybody else.Comment

I will give you the final word, my only point is that I wish boxing followed the matchmaking that UFC does... But I have been wishing that matchmaking would change in boxing for the last 20 years, way before UFC was a major playerComment
