I'm pretty sure that 'MMA Live' is canceled and ESPN is investing in boxing while they have never shown live MMA fights.

Floyd already moved up 15 pounds and they could have easily made GSP-Anderson at 180. But yes, lets talk **** about one sport while pretending that the biggest MMA fight ever not happening is no big deal.

Both sports are flawed, it's the way of prizefighting.

Floyd is the best welter, so if your ok with #2 fighting #3 and thinking that proves who's best, then more power to you..

That's why boxing will never change, fans let them get away with this garbage

Meanwhile in MMA, Ben Askren might aswell retire. Such a fair system

Not sure if it got cancelled, I still think they air it after big PPv cards but not 100% sure...

All I want is for boxing to have the same matchmaking as UFC..
Contenders fighting other top contenders until there is a clear challenger to a title and then making it happen..
Guys like stiverne, wilder, quillen, canelo, etc did absolutely nothing to earn their high ranking
That's all I want from boxing, make guys fight their way to the top instead of showcasing them vs bums and declaring them a legit contender ie wilder

If you know who Ben askren is, then your def a fan... He hasn't beaten anyone of note and is super boring and doesn't come to fight, but instead take guys down and hold them down for a decision victory... I'm glad UFC didn't sign him, he hurts the sport with his style of holding guys down... That's not fighting, that's stalling

Because HBO and Showtime have a grip on boxing and it limits the reach of audience.

There are so many C level contenders getting title shots in the UFC (lack of depth) that I can't see any difference in terms of challengers for both sports. In the UFC they just hype up the mismatches like crazy, it doesn't make them more competitive. Can you imagine Angulo going up against Canelo in the UFC? I mean (in Rogan voice) "he has craaazzzzyyy power" and and iron chin yadda yadda yadda.

That's a good point, boxing is much better served being on free tv..

And throw in the fact the hbo has had ggg and serg for years but can't make the fight, or Stevenson-kovolev, manny- Floyd were both there and couldn't make the fight happen
So it really isn't showtime or hbo fault.. Even of they had all the guys in the world they still can't make the fights people wanna see

I disagree,, what c level guys are getting title shots..

Gsp off a year layoff fights Diaz, condit, Hendricks
Lesner off year layoff fights carwin, Cain, overrem
Jon jones has fought nothing but top guys since becoming champ
                    Silva fought everyone at 185
155 nobody can keep the belt since they are forced to fight top guys every time..

The newer division are still alittle weak in terms of depth but it's the same as when cruiser and super middle became divisions in boxing. It took over 20 years to make 168 a legit division and cruiser still has never became a legit division

He's the best wrestler in his division and would be odds on favorite against most of the UFC guys. Talk about lack of fairness bro.

The UFC is so desperate for talent that they re-signed Arlovski whose career should be over by now, but yeah lets just forget about an Olympic wrestler and undefeated MMA contender. No problem there. It's like refusing to sign Lara or Rigo, both boring and both making a lot more money in their sport then a guy like Askren.
