It would depend on the ref and what crap Hopkins gets away with.

People tend forget Hopkins best weapon is the slick right hand not mention he's a crafty counter puncher like Marquez with an even better inside game then JMM.

Sure PAC has speed but he's a sucker for the right hand especially from a timing genius like Hopkins.

That was prime for prime. Right now PAC probably wins a split decision because he's not as wild but still throws fast combos. He'd win by throwing more against a faded Hopkins.

Hopkins is nothing like Marquez. There's literally nothing they share in common.

            What?

So now every fast fighter fights exactly the same and every counter puncher fights exactly the same.

Seriously, think about it before you post it.

Prime...Hopkins. Too skilled and had the power to back it up.

I thought Tito & De la Hoya was going to beat Hopkins and man I was wrong. Prime Hopkins would destroy Prime Pac Man. You see Tito and Oscar didn't want a rematch.

It's hard to imagine a Pacquaio the size of Calzaghe not beating Hopkins.

This, I think a middleweight version of Pacquiao beat Hopkins by decision based on speed and his workrate.

Hopkins has problems with speed, he lost against all the fast fighters he faced, Roy, Calzaghe... he also struggled with J.Taylor's speed.

I think Hopkins is too shy and cautious and unlike Marquez wouldn't take enough risks to counterpunch and figure out Manny.
