You can be a fan of a fighter and still have objectivity. I wish the majority of people on here knew that, rather than persistently defend criticisms of a fighter purely because they are a fan.
You act like round 6 was a complete beat down from Groves. There were exchanges. Groves was getting the better of them but Froch was still firing back. You're talking like it was the end of Cotto-Margarito or something. It was not just one way traffic and I don't see it ever being that way in the rematch.
I see Groves catching Froch with something big and finishing it this time.
I think it was pretty bad punishment Froch took in that round. He was almost to a point of running a bit from Groves' right hand. He flinched with the jabs and came back to his corner and said: "**** me".
I've never seen Froch say that in his entire career and I think it was quite clearly the hardest round of any he's had to endure in his career.
He was in the round as well, but didn't really seem to hurt Groves that much.
I'm not sure - I've gone back and forth on this and could see multiple outcomes. It wouldn't surprise me if Froch Bute'd Groves, and it wouldn't surprise me if Groves did a Tarver/RJJjr 2 on Froch.
And I also wouldn't be surprised if it goes the distance and even concludes in a dodgy decision.
I'm not going to bother rooting for either guy, I'll just sit back and enjoy.

Good stuff! .. just like hagler v hearns my pick changes by the week, it's so difficult to bet against a guy like Froch who hits hard has great stamina and takes a great dig but the speed and confidence of Groves! lets enjoy. It's a pleasure to see a real 50/50 , too few these days!
Extremely excited for this fight, can't wait.
Groves should work the body more with straights and hooks by feinting to the head and going downstairs. At least if he does that and Froch is still there after 6, he'll be less dangerous late.
Groves landed the perfect punch in round 1, and then landed his best bombs on Froch all night, and still couldn't KO him. Get real George, if you win, it will be points.
He knocked him down with 18 seconds left, by the time the fight resumed, there was 5 seconds left, and notice Groves caught him two more right hands at the bell. There wasn't enough time to finish him off and Froch is good at recovering so that 1 minute between round 1 and 2 gave him an advantage at recovering.
Also Groves boxed a lot in the fight, he didn't really go all out, he was just very accurate and was backing up Froch. He will back him up again, and Froch is not very good at defending while he is being backed up.

Froch often fights on the backfoot taking more of a boxers role than a brawler.
