Pacquiao is right up there with Mayweather in providing their opponents huge exposure, payday (except Maidana #ThanksAlHaymon), and better options for future opponents. Haymon and Schaefer bathe in Floyd's ball sweat, but Oscar will bend over for Arum. After all, those two are screwing up his future business.

I'm not even saying that he should have signed with Golden Boy.

He should have just become a free agent, meaning he can do deals on a one-fight basis with any and all promoters as he sees fit.

Yes, 50 was pushing Haymon out of the picture. Read his notes to Floyd when he was in prison. They're out there.

If Pac felt it was better for him and his family to sign an extension and get guaranteed money then he did the right thing for him.

It sucks for us though, because this pretty much guarantees the end of a Mayweather/Pacquiao possibility, and it means we'll be seeing Marquez/Pacman 5 this fall.
Someone really needs to explain to me why that is. What exactly prevents Floyd, a free agent/his supposed own boss/etc, from fighting a guy signed to Top Rank? That excuse will look even more ridiculous if/when Oscar and Arum start doing business again. And doesn't that mean (as anyone with basic sense could see plain as day from the beginning) that Floyd was just blowing smoke with his 'take da test' and other nonsense since Manny was with Arum then too?

Look! All the Floyd fans are celebrating now

                  2009 "take da test"
                  2013 "leave Arum"

Wait why wasn't Bob an issue before?
