honestly i'd love to see a rematch, Floyd's older now and Marquez is better at the higher weight than he was the first time they fought. As long as Marquez gets to wear his punchers gloves i would be all for this fight. This fight would easily get a million PPV buys too.

im sure anyone can wear a punchers glove just like usual as long as they dont try to use some bs shady ass glove first if it was not for that blue glove that would of never happened

Marquez dosen't fight as good when he has to be the aggressor. Mayweather is still all wrong for him, still too fast and better footwork. Old Marquez looks good against opponents suited to his style. Bradley outboxed him, Floyd would outbox him again. If Marquez really needs a belt at 147 his best shot is against Porter if the fight somehow could be made.

Marquez doesn't look faster at all. Speed is relative to opposition. Alvarado was slow so Jmm looked to have exceptional speed. However, in the Bradley fight and Pacquiao IV, Jmm looked much slower. Jmm is not better than ever but he is still quite good. You can see his diminished reflexes with each fight especially against top competition.

I don't even buy into the newfound power theory either. Jmm has always had very good power and he isn't on some vicious tear as some people would make it seem. Mayweather/JMM 2 would most likely be much of the same.

Floyd is the better defensive fighter, the faster fighter, all Marquez has on him is combination punching probably, but Floyd won't be there standing still in the middle of the ring like Mike was.

This is not a typical prediction thread as we already know 90% will say mayweather wins easy all though the real question could be would the new marquez make it a better fight. Whether you think marquez is using PED or not the fact is marquez looks better now in every way then he did say 4 years ago. Hes better trained whether its legit or not. Hes also a better fighter now, he seems to not only be getting stronger but also faster which is a crazy thing for his age. I guess my question is why not if the pac fight is not going to happen why not marquez i think they could sell the fight big time for example older slower mayweather, just had tough fight with maidana, marquez is like the bionic man now better then hes ever been stronger faster bigger, they could hype first fight by the weight advantage mayweather had. I don't know I just think this would be a better fight now how much better well probably never know but its interesting to think about. I dont know marquez deal with arum but if it could happen it would get my money thats for sure though I think mayweather wins it would not be another run away imo
