Well the ref did get in the way and probably stopped Alvarado from scoring another 10-8 round, which he needed badly. JMM clearly won though, it was a near shut out.

It was the crowd beating him about the head, the ref was influenced by the crowd induced black eyes and nose bleed. The crowd almost knocked him out of the ring. He wants to fight without the crowd, I guess.

He could have got a 2nd kd if the ref hadn't stepped in... Not sure how that would have changed the landscape of the rest of the fight... Marquez has great recovery ability so my bet would be he still finishes the same as he did.

JMM gets knocked down but never hurt was never in trouble at all.

Even against Pac there are only 2 times he has been put in wobble legs and truly hurt.

Second fight after the kd, but more clearly the right hand in the 4th or 5th round of the IV fight that had him on shaky legs. That hurt him more than every other kd of his career, even when he took the Katsidis bomb.
