Dwyer has made an excellent analysis there. I do not always agree with what he says, but I couldn't agree more with him on this fight.

I had Froch winning at the time of the stoppage.

Hell of a shot and it won me money.

thought it would happen but tko not a flat out ko.

Dwyer has something of a blind spot where Froch is concerned, backed Bute and Groves against him twice. Not sure about the Kessler II fight.

He's saying DeGale would beat him now.

But I must admit he's declined a bit. Obviously we don't know if it's Groves, but Carl looked like he was getting buzzed from punches he normally wouldn't get buzzed by.

I hope he goes out on top, I really do.
He looked the same as usual. The left hooks buzzed him in the 7th but they were thrown hard, landed flush and he didn't see them coming.

I don't think so. He looked slower and more tentative. As I said, maybe it was part of the plan against Groves.

Also, it was not even a left hook, it was more like a jab.

He told me personally that he had Froch winning Kessler before the fight ( the second one of course).

That's not the main point. Dwyer basically points out that Groves fought a ****** fight. And I must agree with him.

Before Froch-Groves I , I had Groves winning. Groves does anything better than Carl Froch apart from his chin and stamina. And I got to give you credit for that. You said yesterday that Carl may need just these two skilles ( not sure that having a good chin is a skill though) and you were right.

I respect Carl for not giving up and being a real brawler. But his boxing abilities are really overrated in my humble opinion.

He was more tentative because he almost got knocked the fcuk out in the first fight.

I watched the Pascal fight the other day, it's the same Froch all right, if anything I thought he was mentally sharper and more adherent to gameplan. Groves just a difficult style for him.

Don't need to be humble about it. Anyone with a half decent eye for boxing can see that Froch has awful fundamentals.

I'm not sure anyone rates his boxing ability that highly to overrate it. He can box though, he medalled in the world amateur championships. I think Groves fans would admit he boxed better than expected yesterday too. He was disciplined, didn't over-commit and moved in and out well.

Did Groves fight a ****** fight? I think he got a little tired and got sloppy.
