  • Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew Warns Cleverly: I'll Do Worse Than Kovalev

Domestic rivals Nathan Cleverly (27-1, 13KOs) and Tony Bellew (21-2-1, 13KOs) are ready to go to war one more time. Cleverly traveled to Bellew's backyard of Liverpool in 2011 and won a twelve round majority decision. Now both fighters are promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, and both fighters have moved north, by 25-pounds, to the cruiserweight division. Both want the rematch to happen next. Bellew was at ringside in Cardiff and watched Cleverly make his cruiserweight debut with a two round blowout of Sean Corbin.

Usual tony bellew trash talking. Cleverly beat him fair and square. To make things worse he did it in his hometown too. Hes just bitter because cleverly has been world champ. his talk bout kovalev again lool kovalev is the most dangerous puncher in boxing. Bellew talks about his amazing power. So how come hid ko % is 54%. Clev is a real man hes giving bellew a rematch that he doesnt need to give him. He says he won the first fight lol watch the post fight interview he didnt mention it then haha wat a clown.

Kovalev hits much, much, MUCH harder than Bellew. Just compare their fights against Cleverly.

It's too bad Kovalev didn't fight Bellew. He would have flattened him.

Maybe if he beats Cleverly, he and Kovalev could fight at CW.

Cleverly on points, again. Bellew needs to disappear.

Cleverly looks good at the weight, physically. Bellew on the other hand...

Not a fan of either, but will be rooting for Cleverly in the rematch.

I don't see either of these guys making much noise at cruiser but will look forward to this fight, I felt frank warrens management of clev was shocking, to fight the guys he fought then throw him in with kovalev definatly didn't do him any favours, but he should still have enough to beat bellew who is a good European level fighter but nothing more

Lol typical Scouse prat with the confidence of some underworld boss haha, Bellew has journeyman beating power, I bet Froch or Groves could put him to sleep and they're SMW's!
