WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs) is scheduled to return on July 26th at Madison Square Garden in New York City. HBO will televise.

The most likely opponent, according to Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, is former IBF/WBA champion Daniel Geale (30-2, 16KOs).

Recently the WBA ordered Golovkin to make a mandatory defense against Jarrod Fletcher, who happens to be the highest ranked, available contender. Loeffler has a already submitted a request for an exception to do the fight with Geale.

Geale,Fletcher then Murray in Monte Carlo Febuary.I don't see GGG stopping Geale or Murray, but he puts on a boxing clinic, for sure.

Then we see how much Martinez has left, and does he really desire the GGG fight.

Two capable boxers, one who can punch and one who can't. Hard to see geale winning.

The best they could certainly do. I like the fight and hopefully after this we either see GGG V Martinez(if Martinez wins against Cotto), or he moves up.

                  Good fight!

If GGG can stop Geale it would be a real statement. Then hopefully he fights the winner of Martinez v Cotto.

I doubt it.... they'd have to put together a really good undercard to draw people.

They shouldn't open this up to the full stadium
