    daniel geale - up next

we making history baby, after this lineup i'll be ready for Ward or a 40 year old injury prone Martinez, or even a HOF fighter (cotto)that began his career at 140 .
WAR GGG, no no man "you a good boy"
Andy Lee signed to fight Golovkin, he didn't pull out.

If GGG is the draw that they believe him to be, why not go with the big arena. He's likely not going to draw 20,000 people, but I'm pretty sure that they could configure things in a way to seat 10k-12k people.

If HBO puts the promotional muscle behind it, with GGG being one of the stars that they're trying to make the boxing franchise with, it think they'd be just fine.

What a joke.... in the way that GGG is going to be fighting in MSG's big house before the Brooklyn Kid Chocolate even headlines a show there.

Hope he doesn't die of jealousy

I'm excited for this fight, this is the best possible MW fight that can be made on July 26. But at the same time, Geale is going to get starched.

          Fantastic news/fight, though

I think he's a draw in terms of viewers, but not yet in terms of crowds. Similar to Kovalev doing 1m viewers but the place not being packed.

              Decent fight, I suppose.

I don't rate Geale and expect him to get crushed, but given the situation it's a solid fight.

The difference I've seen since he made his U.S debut in Verona to his last show in MSG is huge.

The crowd is more electric and I've seen people who didn't even know anything other than Golovkin knocks people out come up. Some Euro guy asked me who I got my glove signed by, it was Kovalev.

HBO said there was only two free seats left... official numbers were something different I think. All I know is when I was at the Stevens fight, it was pretty packed and it was hard to see an empty seat from where I was.

IMO... opening up the whole arena is risky.... Geale just doesn't seem like the right opponent to open up whole arena to IMO.

If they do it they do it though. I'd like to go, but would hate to get a crappy seat.

I agree. Golovkin-Geale would probably be better in the theater IMO

I hope it gets made. Then Martinez and then Sturm please.

                      C'mon

So Geale is better than Ward? Don't give me that contract dispute with his manager crap either. Ward is available and ready!
