Dude is going to have to do a lot more then beat Alvorado to impress me.. What I see? A robotic fighter who solely relies on toughness. Chases his opponents around, doesn't cut off the ring late in fights, no thought process in his punch selection, by rds 6 he is reduced to fighting in spots and simply follows his opponent around doing nothing because of fatigue...

I don't know what you guys are seeing, but he's just a tougher stronger version of Rios IMO.

He doesn't stack up with pressure fighters like Matthysse, Maidana, Golovkin. They all have their own quirks in the ring, and fight differently, but the thing they have over a guy like Ruslan? Basic boxing fundamentals. They think in the ring, and use a strategy.

We saw him beat the hell outta Tim who beat JMM. And we saw beat the life outta Alvardo who JMM just went twelve with and hit the deck in the process. You can't tell me that Ruslan vs JMM wouldn't be a Great War. You think JMM wins, fine I'm not saying e doesn't. All in saying is that fight woulda been a thriller!!!

How many top pressure fighters has Bradley fought? I'm not going to sit back and say Bradley fought a certain way, so Provo had success, but Bradley could be susceptible to getting pulled in to drag out wars. It doesn't mean Provo can't be out boxed fairly easily.

Until Provo actually proves himself with a solid win or two I'm not buying him being on Maidana or Matthysse's level of pressure fighter.

Provo's best win is Alvarado that's ok for an ok fighter, he had a great fighter with Bradley and Freddie was about to stop it cause Provo looked bad, his face was rearranged and this coming from Bradley type of punches. Provo is not a proven warrior. How he will deal with a counter puncher with power in both hands, it's not a given you.
