Why is it that Pac fans don't want to talk about PPV numbers when it is in regards to Manny's popularity but do so when it is in regards to Floyd's? If we do the math Mayweather as outsold Manny Pacquiao in each of their last few respective fights. Mayweather fought two foreigners (one practically unknown to the casual public) while Manny fought two Americans (one of which was the P4P number 3 best fighter in the world) and May still outsold Manny both times.
Some may bring up the undercards but lets be honest only hardcore boxing fans care about undercards. People turn up in droves for the main event and May has been the A-side in at least one of the two biggest money fights in boxing history.
There is reason why Showtime gave Mayweather a guaranteed purse and not Pacquiao. Now Mayweather may not be the most popular fighter ever but he is by far the most popular active fighter today.
