They use the extension trick to bamboozle big name fighters into never leaving the company. They do this by dangling big fights in front of them, and tricking them into resigning.

Ghost and Bradley BOTH fell for it, and werent smart enough to know the business side of the game. These promoters wait until you get a big fight, they dangle it in front of you, and make you sign the extension or else they wont give you that fight.

6 million for GGG with the extension is WAAAY different from 1 fking million without the extension. They lowballed Chavez because their bitter and made up an excuse about how they would lose money if they built him up then let him leave the company.

He's already built up and the fight itself would have made everyone rich.

Golden boy tricked Ghost that way. Floyd needed Ghost so Ghost didnt have to sign an extension to get a Floyd fight.(I almost wonder if Floyd was in on it. Remember when he tweeted about fighting Alexander? And remember the negotiations took forever? Its a good chance that he and gbp were in cahoots to get him to resign.)

He signed the contract to get the Floyd fight but who else was Floyd going to fight? Thats Ghost's fault for not realizing it.

Bradley did the same thing. Pac needed Bradley more than Bradley needed him. Who is Pac going to fight? Mike Alvarado, Rios, and JMM 6 & 7? Pac is so dry on opponents, that Bradley could have even demanded a high guarantee and STILL not have signed the extension. They would have had no choice but to do what Bradley wanted but Bradley is a moron. He could have fought Pac, then went to GB and fought all the real fighters in the division. Now he will fight bums at TR like Rios and Alvarado trilogies.

I have NEVER been a Chavez supporter but man look at how this kid just shocked Arum. I have a LOAD of respect for this kid. He just tricked the biggest crook in boxing and you guys dont even realize what type of move he just pulled. Arum NEVER saw this coming.

He so bitter he trying to give Chavez FIVE MILLION LESS for fighting GGG WITHOUT the extension. The fight itself was going to make so much money for Arum and Chavez. All the talk about building Chavez up was just a BS excuse because the kid was going to actually lose the fight and his stock was going to plummet. Props to Chavez for both WANTING the fight, knowing his worth, and crapping on Arum's parade. And btw, Chavez is a MUCH more bigger name than GGG. GGG hasnt even fought half the competition Chavez has fought.
OK so how long is the extension then?

And btw, I dont think he will be rewarded for doing this. I think he's better off WITH Arum. Its just the fact that he didnt fall for the oldest promoter scam in the history of the game. The extension trick. He was SUPPOSED to resign, and now Arum looks lost and confused.
what extension? for christ sake do your research! chavez has a contract until 2015 october, understand?

the contract was that he guarantees one more fight after ggg, THERE WAS NO EXTENSION.. he refused to sign a contract worth a minimum of 12m and a maximum of 17m for 2 freaking fights!

now, all that will happen is that chavez will not fight until his contact expires which is 15 months away

You can't compare the two. Bradley made WAY more money with Arum than he would have with GBP.

Even better. Bradley is making WAY more money than every single fighter on GBP's roster from 140-147 not named Floyd Mayweather.
Let's see how much money he makes promoting himself. I guarantee you less than what TR offers.

And his extension has a contract minimum. And on top of that he's a headliner.

If he was on GBP he would be buried on undercards with Alexander, Thurman and Porter; hoping and praying for a big fight.

He's already got 2 Pac paydays and a Marquez payday. Something Broner been trying to get for the last 2 years.
GBP fighters are making 1.5 Mil...

            • this whole thread is ******, ts does not know what is going on and is guessing, chavez was not offered an extension on his contract, he was offered a contract which promised he had to fight one more time before his contract expires

                • Not everyone is like pacquiao..chavez is not gonna wear arums skirts like a lil b1tch..pac is staying with arum because he owns him for all those weight drained damaged goods he fought at catch weight.

tr pays way better than gbp. your maths are messed up too

7m to fight gg with 1 more fight before his contract goes was the offer to chavez, if he won against ggg, that 1 fight would have been 10m, if he lost 5m

chavez would never make more money with anyone else

look at chino, he made fcking 1.5m vs floyd, that is daylight robbery, richard and haymon are scumbags, they need to be jailed and hopefully will be after mainevents and golden boy sue their asses for their double handed deals, chavez has been tricked by haymon and co, he will suffer in the future
Who cares what TR pays? They have 5 bums for Bradley to fight. Golden boy has the real fighters and plenty of them. Bradley is wasting his prime on 6 fights with Rios and Alvarado? I dont see how anyone can debate that at all. They have no one for the #2 ww to face. NUMBER 2 WW will never actually face the best ww's.

Im not wrong on anything here bro.

As far as Chino is concerned I thought he was being sued so they listed his paycheck as lower than he was actually getting paid. I thought he was getting 3 mill. If they should be jailed, they should be jailed for fraud since they are helping him mask his actual paycheck.

Not only that but should Chino be paid more than Bradley?

Bradley is, well Bradley a very important fighter. Chino is a good fighter and earned his shot but he just got here. While Bradley has been important for years.

Bradley would get paid more to face Floyd than Chino did.

As far as Chavez, he would probably do better with Arum. But that wasnt my point. Arum wanted him to resign just like he wanted Braldley to resign. So he used the extension trick, and Chavez just shocked the hell out of him by not signing it.

He's probably the first fighter I can think of off the bat that didnt fall for it. Something has to be said about him outsmarting Arum. The fighter duped the suit, and you dont think thats impressive? like I said before, it may not pay off.

But thats not my point. Its the fact that he didnt take the extension the way he was supposed to. The way all fighters do.

I dont know but an extension is an extension. I thought one of the deals was for 1 more fight or 2 more fights.

He didnt want anything having to do with the word extension. Its just so crazy how the fighter duped the suit.
