Golden Boy still has Periban and Bika, with friendly enough relationships with other promotional outfits to likely have access to most of the top super middleweights on the planet, none of which, sans Chavez Jr, who even fight under the Top Rank banner.
Pretty sure that Golden Boy could easily make the same money, at least, that Top Rank was projecting, with an open willingness to better split the money with their name fighters. lol

Chavez doesnt want anything if the extension is included. You didnt point out that its a big difference between 1 mil and 6 mil. Without the extension he was getting 5 mil less. Doesnt it seem like Arum is lowballing because he's bitter? All I see is you attacking Chavez. This kid just pulled a major power move on the biggest promoter. Him out of all people just rained on Arum's parade. Do you realize that?

[QUOTE=kidaguilar;14558595]Originally posted by MurkaMan View PostNo he was offered 1 mil without the extension. 6 mil with the extension. He didnt fall for the extension trick and Arum is looking befuddled. Look at how dumb Bradley and Ghost are. I would expect Bradley to be a better business man but Chavez shocked me and Arum both.[/QUOTE
But isnt it in the best intrest for Chavez Jr to stay with Arum given that HBO has big fights for Chavez down the line that can pay big money. He can fight Ward, Pascal in Canada, Froch or Kessler in Europe or even Kovalev. These fights can all do decent numbers.

Not really because Arum has fights going on this weekend and Chavez is sitting at home on his ass not making nothing. All for making your worth but if Arum says until 2015 then it's probably 2015. And Chavez going to Showtime is different from Bradley. Who's Chavez going to fight at Goldenboy and Showtime? BHOP at 175 or Stevenson?with HBO he has a multitude of fights at 168. It's a business on both sides. Chavez has a right to do whatever he wants and so does Arum.. He made an offer he rejected. Some of you guys let your love for one person spew your hate for another. Arum is going to do what's best for his business as Chavez is. Arum has dealt with a lot with Chavez from drugs, to not making weight and suspensions. I would have an offer to protect my interest too it's called good business.
Ward and Kovalev are out, but I don't see how anyone else gets excluded.
