He's delusional? He's the only fighter that didnt fall for the extension trick. Ghost and Bradley both fell for it, but this kid is a genius. Arum has been duped. How do you think they trick these fighters into constantly resigning? They dangle a big fight over their head and use the extension trick.

Im SHOCKED by Chavez and Arum is too. And Im not even a Chavez fan bro.

No he was offered 1 mil without the extension. 6 mil with the extension. He didnt fall for the extension trick and Arum is looking befuddled. Look at how dumb Bradley and Ghost are. I would expect Bradley to be a better business man but Chavez shocked me and Arum both.

Read my latest comment on this thread. Chavez Jr is a genius. Bradley fell for the extension trick and Chavez did not. Mikey was actually getting paid less than Gamboa when they negotiated. I dont blame Mikey at all. Do your homework on whats going on instead of quoting Dan Rafeal's tweets. He thinks everyone is trying to be Winky Wright. Chavez is onto something major.

But isnt it in the best intrest for Chavez Jr to stay with Arum given that HBO has big fights for Chavez down the line that can pay big money. He can fight Ward, Pascal in Canada, Froch or Kessler in Europe or even Kovalev. These fights can all do decent numbers.

Thats not what Chavez WANTS. You may feel thats in his best interest. He has no interest in resigning. Thats the whole point. He wants to get out of contract. He didnt let Arum trick him into staying.

Chavez Jr. is a moron, just like you. He's afraid of GGG and that's it. Point blank.

6.6 million makes him the 4th highest paid fighter in the sport behind FMJ, Pac and Klitschko. And he is nowhere close to being the 4th best fighter in the world. So Bob's offer is extremely generous in relation to JCC Jr's talent level.

Also - he's offering 6.6 million to a guy who smokes weed and only gets in shape half the time. That's a risk that other promoters don't even have to worry about when dealing with a true professional.

Furthermore - in this case an extension is hardly a trick. Arum is taking a huge risk committing to JCC Jr. on an extension for 2 fights and a minimum of 10 million dollars going into a fight where JCC Jr. is very likely to get his ass kicked brutally.

Arum is saying hey i'll make you the 4th highest paid fighter on the planet and I will guarantee a minimum 5 million dollar payday in the next fight even if you lose badly to GGG. That's generous - no other promoter on the planet if offering a fighter a 5 mill extension in the event of a LOSS.

Trick? You must be thinking of your mom.

Im not even a Chavez fan. He isnt scared of GGG. He fought Martinez and Andy Lee with no hesitation. He's one of these young guys that is hungry and isnt really afraid of any fighter.

I never said an extension is a trick. I said he didnt fall for 'the extension trick' Where the promoters dangle a big fight in front of you but make you resign before hand. Chavez was going to get the money ONLY if he resigned.

If he chose not to resign he was going to get FIVE MILLION LESS moron. Its the same trick they pulled on Ghost and Bradley. Ghost and Bradley are morons, however Chavez is NOT.

Its not even about the money he would have gotten WITH the extension because the kid isnt falling for it, and he doesnt want the extension. Its about the lowball he is getting WITHOUT IT.

The difference between me and you is that you are OBVIOUSLY biased against Chavez. While I am not biased for or against him. I was SHOCKED he pulled this maneuver because I was hoping Bradley was going to do this so he could go to gbp and fight all the REAL fighters.

Go away with your ignorance bro. Im not going out of my way to hate on this fighter or that fighter. This kid deserves credit. I mean who knew he was such the business man where he just shatted on Arum. Arum didnt see this coming. You, me, none of us saw this coming. Arum doesnt know what to do at all. His next big name fighter just snatched the carpet from under him.

2 million if he wants free agency and follow Stevenson's ducking ways. Golovkin has no issue with that kind of money and added stipulations. 6-7 million with multiple high purse guarantees and Jr doesn't want that? Quack quack.

Who is GGG and who has he fought? He is okay with any kind of money. Chavez is a much bigger name than him. Chavez doesnt want anything if the extension is included. You didnt point out that its a big difference between 1 mil and 6 mil. Without the extension he was getting 5 mil less. Doesnt it seem like Arum is lowballing because he's bitter? All I see is you attacking Chavez. This kid just pulled a major power move on the biggest promoter. Him out of all people just rained on Arum's parade. Do you realize that?

Arum is offering Chavez a total of $22 million for three fights. Chavez can make that much fighting Alvarez at 160 in one fight if he hires Al Haymon as his advisor. He can make another $7 million fighting Cotto/Martinez winner, another $7 to $10 million against Ward. That adds up to a total of $36-39 million for three fights. Throw in another $7 million against GGG and it adds up to $43-46 million for four fights.

He has absolutely no reason to stay with Arum.
