My heart wants Cotto/Martinez winner. Lineal champion in 3 divisions at the same time? Yes please.

I see Maidana or Khan next though.

Without the size, Maidana will be in much more trouble. He won't be as strong and may tire out even faster. Problem is he's fighting in a division he does fit into naturally, so he'll always have conditioning issues.

Good post. I was counting on Ariza to send him in to the fight lean and mean, but for some reason they decided to pack a bunch of weight on him.

I understand the argument that the added weight was supposed to tire Mayweather as they jockey for position inside, but coming in lean and mean would help his speed and stamina

Not sure why anybody would wanna see Floyd fight Canelo again, Canelo hasn't got the right skillset to cause Floyd any problems, stylistically it's an easy match-up for Floyd. To cause Floyd problems, you either need to be a relentless pressure fighter who throws non-stop or somebody with good handspeed, footspeed, jab and generally good boxing ability. Canelo isn't either of those two styles, he's more of a boxer-puncher/counter-puncher.

Even if he beats Lara (which he definitely won't), I'd rather see Lara fight Floyd.

I voted for Shawn Porter because I know he will never fight Pacquiao (if Pacquiao doesn't look shot as hell)

Where is the "retire" option. I vote retire.

I'm actually surprised anyone wants to see FMJ-Canelo II over some of the other names on the list, that's why I didn't put Lara-Canelo winner, but you just never know I guess.

I'm not one who believes the weight cost Canelo the fight, imo his gameplan and natural fighting style just isn't suited to beating FMJ.
His gameplan was definitely ******. As was the Ghost's before him. For whatever reason both those guys elected to be kept in the center of the ring and trounced. Which was shocking to me especially in the case of the Ghost who fought the previous fight like the devil was at his backside. I certainly expected him to fight Floyd like that.

If it's not Pacquiao, it needs to be Maidana rematch.

Canelo-Lara is in July, won't be enough time.

I' wouldn't mind Porter, but I'd rather see him fight Brook, then Khan, Thurman, Guerrero, etc.

Maidana rematch should happen. No one has put hands on Floyd like that since Castillo, and though I felt Castillo actually barely won their first fight, while Maidana lost a tough close fight against Floyd.....the rematch is warranted.

Floyd v Cotto for the lineal middleweight title at whatever catchweight is a farce and disgrace to boxing.
