Come on, don't be such a mindless parrot.

Could be the case, man. But at this point he deserves the opportunity to prove himself before any conclusion can be made. If he gets past Blandamura, then he'll have done his work the proper way - British, Commonwealth and European titles.

I agree. Every boxers deserves their opportunity

Maybe they'll do the fight in the UK as Quillin was apparently willing to travel to fight Murray, and I suppose it'll pay better than appearing on undercards forever.

Then again Warren does talk a lot of BS so who knows.
How big is Warren's influence with the WBO as you said?

I was thinking back to the Murray incident. It got killed because of Hatton's president/matchmaker turning it down... the Frankenstein looking mofo.

Seemed good to me IMO, but then again I remember everyone saying the money wasn't good too. I thought getting the Champ to come over to your backyard in a winnable fight was good, but then I remember the argument was 250k was nothing and he'll have nothing at the end of it.

Honestly, that's as much as you're going to make against him. Only person who got paid more was N'Dam and that was because he was the champ and it was an undercard fight.

“Ricky Hatton is a great friend of mine. I have a great relationship with him, but that doesn’t change the fact that this Richard Poxon is an impossible guy to deal with,” Schaefer said, throwing in a couple of other colorful words to describe him. “If he had other ways the fighter can make more money or do this or that, I get that. But we offered him $250,000 for Murray to fight Peter Quillin, and Quillin was willing to go to the U.K. in November or December.
Well.... now Hatton doesn't have Murray

If Warren could put some money up, he could get champ to come there, even though he doesn't have to, and try to headline their own event. I dunno Billy Joe's popularity that much, but I do know Warren's been trying to build him on that Copperbox stuff.

Negotiating or seeing Warren try to force a purse bid since Peter hasn't made a mando yet, but WBO really don't enforce those unless you've got somebody behind you (Loma getting a purse bid being 1-1).
