I agree. I saw Kessler fight and he's the best man by far in the 168 division. Lacy would never land a power punch on him and Kessler would hit him at will. Kessler is really really impressive. -
Kessler just came back from promotion tour in the US.Originally posted by psychopath
Yeah right too scared.
Tell Kessler to get his ass in the U.S. and have himself be introduced to the boxing public and to the promoters so somebody would spend money to promote his fights. That's more real buddy.
Skills alone won't give any fighter big fights that's a fact. Marketibility comes in first.
He is planning to move to the US if a deal i settled, He is and has been talking to HBO (they contacted him). He knows he is by far the strongest, and dont mind bringing the fight to who ever is wort fighting. Now that´s real buddy!!Comment

Assuming Lacy wins next saturday, he'll give Kessler a shot, not so sure what Calzaghe would do though..
btw, yeah i have noticed HBO taking a liking to him (Kessler), and you know how HBO is with fighters.Comment

As far as Joe is considered the winner of the fight between him and Lacy determines who is the best in the division so if he wins he is moving up, maybe if he fights for a light heavy title, then Tarver then retirement. Although I reckon if Joe loses against Lacy he retires.Comment

Lacy is going to beat Calzaghe. I'd say Kessler is the only real threat to him unless he moves up to light heavy.
I do believe they will fight however, and the fight will be close as ****. There is no way to predict the outcome of that one, and don't give me this Lacy by K.O. 1. Calzone maybe, Kessler is a better fighter IMO and can catch you at the end of his punches. He's pretty lengthy and powerful at 6'2.

What would be Lacy´s most difficult opponent? A guy with a strong jab, long reach, speed and punch. Kessler is exactly that kind of a fighter, and he wouldn´t let Lacy in to the fight. Lacy wants the big money, cause he´d know, he would be selling the belt(s).Comment

Well, and see can you blame Lacy, even though he's always willing to fight the best, for him wanting to go up and fight Tarver in a much-better marketable fight (aka $$$) than a fight with Kessler? If HBO can get Kessler a few good fights televised and get him more recognition in the United States, it'd def. help Kessler's case for those that don't know him yet.Originally posted by PederLacy wants the big money, cause he´d know, he would be selling the belt(s).Comment

Lacy has not made himself a big enough name to make big $$$. Look at Mayweather. He's just NOW making big money and we all knew he was the man as early as 98-99. It takes YEARS before you can say, "I want big money fights". Lacy has not been in one meaningful fight yet. Calzaghe will be his breakthrough performance. If he wins, Lacy needs to clean up 168, THEN he can say give me more money. Until then, you gotta be kidding.Originally posted by restless_438Well, and see can you blame Lacy, even though he's always willing to fight the best, for him wanting to go up and fight Tarver in a much-better marketable fight (aka $$$) than a fight with Kessler?
