It's better than sex.

first time i dropped someone whilst sparring was great. the feeling when you see jelly legs is great. a pitty that it was the same practice when i was knocked down as well. was dizzy for three days.
in terms of pain being dropped via body shot is far worse you just feel paralyzed. your brain says ''get up sucker, get up, whoop that ****er'' your body screams ''**** OFF I AIN'T getting up for solid 3 minutes now''Comment

to the people who say they enjoy dropping and knocking out guys in the gym, in case someone hasnt told you before you are the official gym douchebag. congratulations, seems every gym has at least one.
i knocked people down a few times and twice rocked guys so bad the sparring was halted without them going off their feet. i felt horrible every time. sparring isnt a competition, you are working together to help each other improve, as amateurs you are usually teammates as well. to do that to a teammate is bad enough, but to enjoy it?
sure its a confirmation that you can punch, which is good. but what it really says is you dont have enough skill and/or discipline to control yourself which is embarrassing. add the state of your teammate and i dont know how you can enjoy it.Comment

When dudes come from other gyms for sparring it does get abit intense. In my area the gyms work well and set days for sparring but every gym wants to proove they have the best fighters. Once i knocked down a guy in a amateur competition, he wasn't out-cold, but he couldn't get up. It was a perfect shot, really, best straight right i have ever thrown.
Man, it felt so good, that i wanted to **** him after i landed that punch.

You are right about you shouldn't try to hurt guys in sparring but when someone comes at me throwing hard shots and i hit them back with a hard well placed shot, i cant help myself from feeling content. It feels good to do something well.to the people who say they enjoy dropping and knocking out guys in the gym, in case someone hasnt told you before you are the official gym douchebag. congratulations, seems every gym has at least one.

yeah, if someone is asking for it thats different. i was talking about guys who go into sparring trying to knock everyone out when its not called for, those are the guys asking for it as well. when someone does that and you put a nice body shot on him just to kind of say "wrong dude, man" and he gets the message, that is rather satisfying. but again, those are the gym douchebags and you dont really have a choice but to put those guys in their place.Comment
