Orucuta threw a million punches but couldn't hit Narvaez when he was standing in front if him. Pity we are in the era of four or five or six champions per division so guys like Narvaez and Pong and Vic D and Parra and a host of other excellent flyweights during the 2000s never met
I agree about Cesar Seda. That fight definitely took Narvaez to the brink.

It's an incredible accomplishment on paper. I'm a fan of Narvaez. He's very talented and tough and I like the way he boxes usually. But anybody picking on Wlad's opponents should check out Narvaez's. Very few of his opponents were notable. If he unified at any time or fought a few more championship names he'd be rate on the p4p lists right now. His talent is top ten type talent for right now though.

I don't even count his loss against Nonito. That was a HUGE ask at the time for him to jump up when he's already smaller than everybody where he was and take on Donaire when Donaire was probably at his peak. Just going the distance in that fight was an accomplishment at his age and size. Narvaez is past it now and the fact that he's still doing this even with a lot of low level challengers his pretty impressive. He's still a great athlete. Big respect for him.
