Looking at the p4p top 10 in 1999, it is amazing Hopkins and Mayweather are unified champs here in 2014...Floyd was p4p#2 in 1999...damn

Interesting that three of the same names are on there from 1999 and 2009.
        As of today:

        1. Manny Pacquiao
        2. Floyd Mayweather
        3. Shane Mosley
        4. Bernard Hopkins
        5. Juan Manuel Marquez
        6. Nonito Donaire
        7. Miguel Cotto
        8. Celestino Caballero
        9. Israel Vazquez
        10. Rafael Marquez

        And here’s THE RING’s pound-for-pound top 10 for October of 1999:
        1. Roy Jones
        2. Floyd Mayweather
        3. Felix Trinidad
        4. Oscar De La Hoya
        5. Shane Mosley
        6. Mark Johnson
        7. Ricardo Lopez
        8. Erik Morales
        9. Bernard Hopkins
        10. Steve Johnston

I think Floyd was overrated back then, but by 2009 times he proved that he was #1/2

Joe Calzaghe, Sven Ottke (lol), Ricardo Lopez, Floyd Mayweather, Harry Simon. 5 of the people that were champions or ended up champions on that list retired undefeated or are undefeated today.

The majority of champions that retired undefeated are on that 1999 list.

It was also the year Ibeabuchi got arrested, and heavyweights around the world celebrated because they no longer had to fight that monster.
