I just love how this thread is avoided because Floyd was #2 P4P in 19freaking99.
Remained the top 1-2 since before that and is still #1 today.
If say.... "Another guy" had accomplished this in the same dominating fashion then this site would shut down due to post overload.

And yet, people will go and blow up other threads about said fighter being a bum/ducker/over rated/etc...
        ......makes sense.

The ring didn't give titles at that time. Same thing for most of the 90s I think they brought it back in 2002.

I'm pretty sure your right about that, or in 2002 they were upset with constantly having vacant titles they changed the rules on what determines a ring champ..

Side note- hard to fathom Lennox not being recognized as THE world champ when he beat McCall 2, Holyfield and Briggs by that time to gather all the major titles...

                I remember some good fights back in '99 -Oscar/Quartey, Oscar/Carr, Trinidad/Whittaker, Oscar/Trinidad, Lennox/Holy I, Jones/Johnson, Lewis Holy II...

It was filled with a lot of pretenders. Judah, Hatton, etc.
the best were retiring and the next best weren't there yet (Money, PacMan).
