Total Mayweathers PPV sales and show me one fighter not just Pac with an equal number.
I would have thought that Mayweather-Hatton easily broke the 1 million mark.

I usually stay out of this conversations but theres a big diference(lets not talk about hatton saying he contemplated suicide after mannys fight)..Mayweather had ponce the leon and jeff lacy an unknown danny garcia too, whereas pac had i think la zorrita..See my point?.Maywearther very smart always has a nice undercard and makes sense, because even if himself per se doesnt bring all the ppv number he gets a cut of all ppv revenues..Its more expensive but i think down the road makes more sense..Can you imagine pac vs marquez sergio martinez vs cotto bradley vs mikey garcia..That right there would be 2 mil easy(this is just a what if and my humble opinion)I personally think pac sells more..But put them both against eachother and a stacked card..i would go as far as 2.5 to 3 mil..

Mayweather is a different type of draw. People watch to see him lose.

Pacman is more like a Tyson-type draw. People want to see action and not necessarily see fighters lose. You can say the same thing with other past, present and maybe future PPV fighters, Cotto, Canelo, etc.

I don't expect any more Mayweather-type draw fighters in the future. Lots of factors come into play when Mayweather decides to fight after a long layoff, like curiosity, ducking controversies, you name it. These things draw people... see him get punished.

Without them, he's just another boring, defensive fighter people would not bother watching.

with all due respect, how can you possibly think Manny sells more if his numbers are lower?

I am asking respectfully because this question, even though the TS is a ****** troll, is not an opinion question. .

This here. A lot of people like Mayweather, but there are many who want to see him get beaten. If they think there's a chance that he will lose, they'll pay to see that! If Pacquiao was still dominating top opponents with devasting KOs as he did in his youth, he'd own PPV.
