    Mayweather v Andre Ward

Ignoring the weight difference, if Mayweather is to fight someone with the likes of Andre Ward (Speed, Ring IQ and Skills) who would you pick? Mayweather had proven a lot of people wrong previously by beating some of the best fighters but I seriously think some like Ward gives Mayweather some serious troubles or might even get atleast a Draw..

Current ward is a more complete fighter than current mayweather. Prime for prime it's the other way round

I assume when people make threads like this the mean prime for prime unless they indicate otherwise...but I would say Mayweather would pick him apart in a rather uninspiring affair.

I think Mayweather vs Rigondeuax prime for prime wouldn't be exciting, but it would probably be on of the most difficult styles for Floyd to overcome.

well, the style would obviously favor a prime mayweather. he has proportionately longer arms, marginally more accurate punching with his counters.

            today, ward takes it.

you still ahve to pick prime maywweather. as of right now, you're comparing a very good to an all time great.

            just kidding.
oak city in this b#Tch. i would f#ck mayweather up.

in all seriousness, ward has the 12 round pace, inside game, and physical strength to bully a lot of SMW. i think he could do it at welterweight and find some success against mayweather.

that said, mayweather is the superior counterpuncher, and would find a way in his prime.

is ward physical enough? i don't think he'd win on boxing. is he strong enough inside, does he punch hard enough, to win the rounds?

              i still don't see it.

He might have longer arms regardless.

Ward obviously, Maidana exposed the limitations of Floyd's inside game. Mayweather needs a ref on his side to beat inside fighters.
