Respect for Maidana for pushing Mayweather in the first half of the fight where the rounds were close. Mayweather should give him a rematch/payday. He deserves the attention from fans for the fight. He still lost the fight, I watched it again the other night and Mayweather lands cleaner shots and takes over the 2nd half of the fight. No doubt it was a rough, tough encounter and that is due to Maidana and his workrate. His conditioning has improved a great deal too.

Maybe because he had a good account of himself and, when all of the numbers finally come in, will likely end up walking away with $3m-$4m, more money than he's probably made over the course of his career so far.

      Not bad, imo.

Maidana did more damage to Floyd than the other way around...that's all I need to know to know who won the fight...people saying Floyd dominated the fight need to really check if they have some type of romantic feelings for Floyd or some other agenda...

Let Maidana wear puncher's gloves and not pillows this time Floyd you cowardly diva!

P.S. Maidana never said he lost the fight..misleading title...Maidana said was referring to the judges' decision...but we already know the U.S. media wants us to believe that Floyd "really won the fight."

It wasn't just the U.S. media, a majority of the world's media acknowledged Floyd won the fight. HE DID NOT DOMINATE Maidiana, but he won 7-5 at a minimum. It's funny that when a guy lands at 26%, people think Floyd is getting killed, because they are used to seeing shots landed at less than 20%. I hope Maidaina gets his rematch in September. It was a great fight!

He's saying the truth! Now if the future opponents want to beat FLOYD,they know what to do thanks to CHINO.THURMAN and PORTER can put up a agressive/phisical fight...KHAN absolutely NO!!! MANNY and TIM beat easy the version of FLOYD we saw vs CHINO IMO,don't worry TOP RANK's fighters aren't involved in FLOYD's future!!!!

Neither Manny or Tim have the power Maidaina has, but Thurman and Porter do have similar power. IMO TR fighters shouldn't be in Manny's future either.

From this more recent comments from Maidana I get the impression that although Maidana thinks he beat Floyd, he isn't entirely happy in that not everything he thought he could do to Floyd he did do.

So in that sense he is giving Floyd credit here.

The first time I watched the fight was in Spanish so i couldn't understand the commentary, but I had Mayweather dominating and wasn't surprised to see him win. The next day i watched the English version and scored it as a very close fight. This being said, it's interesting to do this, try and watch the fight without the commentary, it makes a big difference

Try watching again Madaina didn't miss 600 punches he was hitting arms, ribs side of his ugly head and I'm sure Compu box wasn't counting those. If you really believe that Madaina would have been swinging at air for most of the bout and this is false
