GGG should just vacate the WBA and fight Geale, as nobody takes the WBA seriously anyways. HBO wouldnt care, he would save the 3% sanctioning fee, and he would also then most likely immediately be rated #1 in the WBO to make him Quillin's mando........

Sturm paid good money only when he was chasing a belt. Sturm with the belt is not very generous anymore.

WBA looking for step aside $s IMO.
I'd be OK with them ordering GGG to fight the Nielson - Chudinov winner, who would be their legitimate challenger, but trying to enforce Fletcher over Geale is just BS.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 05-14-2014, 03:32 AM.

Fletcher says he's not stepping aside
“We’re not going to step aside for any amount of money so Golovkin either makes a deal with us or he must vacate the title, which he isn’t going to do,” Wil**** said.

That said, Jarrod ain't terrible, but he's a fringe / regional competitor at best.

W/E, make the fight and have Geale/GGG the next month since this fight won't last very long

Kind of messed up timing. His team had just tried to make one fight and was trying to make another.
Unfortunately, Golovkin isn't one of those fighters who can afford to drop a paper belt.
