This is great news actually - gives a big, exciting fight for the U.S fans, prevents King from hiding Stiverne and if Wilder is legit he can prove himself by beating a tough guy in Stiverne, and at least warrant having a shot at the big time, even holding the belt. If he gets rid of Stiverne, also would help because Bermane would likely want to sit on that belt for as long as possible...

In the meantime, Wlad can appease the fans and do the right thing in taking the Pulev fight for September. That will be a good win, and the winner of that can face the winner of this WBC contest with a unification in December to round off the boxing year, or early 2015.

Sounds like a great plan to me!?

i like this fight but am i the only one who got a bad stomach feeling with this? i mean the GB-propaganda-machine really accomplished it to get Wilder a title shot for facing taxi drivers, where even taxi drivers said "man is this a bum, i am ashamed of my job" and now they are one step in front of the goal and they will try their best that Wilder will not lose his bout...with all the weird decisions this year at GB, Haymon in his corner and that fake ass Scott knockout i smell some huge controversy

This is the best plan. Everyone knows Wlad is the real champ, and Pulev is more established and deserving of a title shot than Stiverne. But the winner of Stiverne vs Wilder would then deserve the next shot. The belt Stiverne has is a joke, but him facing Wilder is a decent elimination match.

As Dan Raphael calls that organization. The Wretched Boxing Council has spoken.

Awesome. No need for Wladi***** to buy this belt like he bought all the others. Let some real fighters add excitement to their cause while you remain the Heavyweight Champion of Germany. We will give you that one, quitter boy.

Scott, Liakhovich, and Price are decent wins. He's not ready for the title, thought.

Part of me says it would be in his best interests to take the step-aside money, but I also really want to see Stiverne-Wilder.

Let the cards fall where they may.

I think Stiverne has an optional defense before he faces Wilder.

Will be interesting to see Wilder step up in competition. If Wilder wins, I hope Wlad is next.
