Part of me says it would be in his best interests to take the step-aside money, but I also really want to see Stiverne-Wilder.

Let the cards fall where they may.
Wilder isn't ready? WTF? He's 28 fought as an amateur...when will he be ready when he's 30?

Watch how long this fight takes to come to fruition. The politics involved are too much to make it happen anytime soon. I'd be very surprised if it happens before October

Interesting how the WBC can make mandatories in other divisions constantly but does not do it often enough at ww, jrmw....how come we never got a mandatory floyd vs manny huh wbc..yeah...how convenient.

I liked Stiverne in this one before Arreola II. But he was getting pounded by Chris until the decisive counter; so if (a big one) Wilder gets the chance to let his punches go like Arreola did this will be a short night.
              Wilder by KO

Even more sketchy that pretty much ALL Wlad fans follow a "certain pattern" smh.

My only problem is what the hell has Wilder done to deserve a title shot? The fight he had between the paper and his pen when signing his contract with Al Haymon was tougher than anything he has seen in the ring. Stiverne should be given the chance to make that big payday against Wlad, he is 35, and should get the chance to set himself up financially with a Wlad fight. Meanwhile, Wilder should actually beat someone with a pulse first, and actually earn his title shot.

What about the winner of the WBA regular title between Luis Ortiz vs Antonio Tarver?
