Hey was great on Friday night fights just for the fact he would say the dumbest things and would get called out for living inside Pernell Whittakers asshole.
At HBO he's doing a bad impression of Larry Merchant.
Common criticism of Max: he seems entitled, he uses big words, he tries to be smart, he's never boxed, yada yada.
Don't be upset you can't follow what he's saying. He's not offending you with those big words or his intelligence. He brings class and dignity to such a brutal sport.
I like Max and think he does a great job. He loves the sport and makes thoughtful comments. Doesn't mean I always agree, but I think he has done well for the sport and his way to the top is inspiring!
Max really doesn't know **** about boxing and his ridiculous hyping of fights is becoming annoying. For example, his attempt to sell Andre Ward to the public on the fight game was beyond pathetic.
Sugar Shane hated him early in the past. He could be mad that he's not getting enough exposure on HBO since they don't have any big time fights these days.
Max Kellerman is just a privileged rich man's son with all the right connections in the media. He has no boxing background and did nothing to deserve his media positions.
HBO should replace him with some knowledgeable trainer like ****m Richardson or Robert Garcia.
Max is ok, sometimes he rides a fighter like a cheap whore but I think they are told to favor HBO fighters. I can't stand Teddy Atlas though. That guy is the worst
