know your timelines. when sergio blew away paul in a MW fight, cotto had just had his first fight at JMW. you think he'd jump up again a weight class that soon?

Cotto chance of being Martinez is about as equal as Charlie Z beating Deontay Wilder. Ko in 9 or 10 Cotto starts to have stamina issues around round 9 thats why he lost To Floyd and Margarito

Why you talking about the g.o.a.t charlie z like that he was 52-0, until wilder wrecked him...! Lol. Anyways charlie z is not even a real boxer, so thats horrible comparing cotto's chances to this 0-1 boxrec bum..

Now all of martinez supporters are worried for this fight to the point they are saying cotto has no chance, when in reality he has a great chance based on 2 things.
          1) martinez is 37-38 now and is really declining to the naked eye due , to thing 2)
          2) injury prone, his knees are shot man you can have surgery to repair your acl,mcl tear all you want but once hes fighting for life he will injure it again, his hand is jacked as well he gets injured in every fight now, so chances are it will happen again

Now iam not saying cotto will win it, but he sure does have a chance. O btw the margacheato fight was bs cause he used the plaster, we saw what would of happened first time around in the second fight when a "shot" cotto dominated margacheato. And mayweather is great!

Sergio would have fought him at 154,hell the Williams fight was at a catch weight.

actually they were supposed to fight back in 2011. Dibella wanted something ridiculous like 5 million for Martinez.

the fight would have probably been at 154 because Martinez was new to 160 at the time. they were in talks after Martinez vs Williams 2 back in 2010. I'm not a fanatic Cotto fan either. Cotto is right, it just didn't work out. he wanted it back then but the money just wasn't right, Cotto has always maintained that. let's not forget Martinez was #3 P4P back then. Cotto's courage is never in question, the guy has balls

so HBO forced Martinez to fight Dzinziruk. he had to do it or no TV money from HBO. HBO owed Dzinziruk a fight, that was apart of the deal Shaw made with HBO to make Bradley vs Alexander. HBO being pissed Cotto went to Showtime made Martinez fight Dzinziruk and thus lost his WBC title for not fighting Zbik, who HBO reject for Martinez but not for Chavez.

and Cotto went over to Showtime and fought Mayorga on the same night. did pretty good too considering it went up against HBO that night.

like Cotto said it just didn't work out and now it is. I'm excited for it no matter what

Mad respect for Cotto, one of my favorites, the only modern boxer that have fought boxers in their prime and given no excuses when lost, undefeated in my view, and Im Mexican, Warrrr Cotto!!!!!
