I was one of the ones that thought he struggled but watching it again idk it wasnt that bad as people make it out to be. He actually had Trout backing up some rounds landing good clean shots idk to me he didn't look bad.

Here's a HD Version of the fight can anyone say what rounds they had for Trout or the specific time of the video where Canelo looked bad?

Depends on what you mean by "struggled". If it's the opposite of "won easily and by a wide margin", then he did struggle.

But Trout's punches never hurt him, and he wasn't really forced to do anything "out of character". So in this sense, he didn't struggle.

The scorecards said he didn't struggle, so I guess he didn't

This. The fight was close but Canelo was never really troubled. He was usually comfortable and punched when he wanted to. He was slipping Trout's jab and making him pay. Remember before that fight everyone spoke so highly of Trout's jab because of how he used it against Cotto. Canelo won the fight close but clear.

The open scoring really ruined this fight though. Canelo basically went into cruise control in the fight especially after the knockdown. If they ever fought again, Canelo would win more decisively. His confidence has risen and his stamina has improved as well.

IMO the open scoring BS totally determined the outcome of this fight.

Realizing he was so down on 2 cards (i thought fight was close) Trout had to change his strategy which played right into Canelo's strategy.

Canelo won IMO, but the open scoring ******.

I like Canelo, I like his giant dong, but it was a close fight. I had it 114-113 elephant dong.

I think to them when Canelo was showing off defense and making trout miss means he was struggling. Reminds me when they showed trouts wife cheering after Canelo against the ropes tagged trout with a uppercut then made him miss a whole combination. I was thinking does she know the person getting hit is the one losing or is she low key going for Canelo.
