Comments Thread For: Brandon Rios vs. Omar Chavez Eyed For July 19 Bout?

The legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has revealed that his son, Omar Chavez (32-2-1, 22KOs), has been offered a fight on July 19 against former lightweight champion Brandon Rios (31-2-1, 23KOs). Omar is willing to take the fight - but only if the fight takes place at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. Omar says a catch-weight of 150 is being requested and that is too low for the boxer to make in a safe manner.

This really shouldn't even be a fight to be considered. What's next then if Rios takes the fight, Rubio at 160?
